As informed by Maciej Pawlikowski – TOPR (Tatry Voluntary Rescue Team) duty officer, the case is mysterious. “We have conflicting reports. At the moment we aren’t even sure that this man is still in Tatry. Yesterday, the surroundings were checked. We didn’t find him anywhere,” explains Pawlikowski.

Because if this, the police have taken over the case. Roman Wieczorek, press spokesman of Zakopane Police Station, doesn’t reveal the details of the investigation.

Situations like this happen on a daily basis. Someone goes out in the mountains, doesn’t inform the family about the change of location. None of these situations should be ignored, though – emphasises Wieczorek.
